According to anthropologist Danny Hoffman, the shed will be the architectural model of the future. To respond to this global demand, MIC|C completes the full-scale model of a house used by seasonal plantation labourers, for sale for future company towns.
A first module is publicly exposed during the Summer of Matera2019 -then cultural capital of Europe. In the city centre, two collaborators build a prototype based on their experience at the Felandina, a migrant labour camp in Metaponto, which is violently evicted by the police shortly afterwards. The intervention accompanies an exhibition with other partners in the state archive of the city of Matera.
